About this deal

The million copy bestseller, A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, is an immensely powerful and heartbreaking novel of brotherly love and. Growing up, Autumn and Finny were like peas in a pod despite their differences: Autumn is “quirky and odd,” while Finny is “sweet and shy and everyone like[s] him. Of the heroes, four are White, one is brown-skinned, and one is a fantasy race with golden skin and black hair. My natural curiosity led me to find out how other departments functioned, how marketing could help them and how they could help me.

After 20 chapters of focusing solely on Rag's perspective, it felt really jarring to suddenly have POV chapters from completely new characters. Instead, this book is about the ever lasting reign of a queen who has committed, or at least contributed to, genocide against the fae that used to live alongside them. My favorite part of this was Rags' POV, his entire inner mologue was just deeply entertaining and kept me invested in the story. While I didn't think the idea was especially original, I liked it, and since I've decided to give a chance to some YA books whose premise I find interesting, I decided to read it. Soon the cast expands to an ensemble of six heroes and a diverse supporting cast of friends and foes. The concept of bonding with sentient artifacts was mildly interesting, along with the creepy spycraft of sorcerer Morian The Last. A heist, "a pair of reluctant heroes who take on a world-ending prophecy, a malicious royal plot, and most of all, their feelings for each other" is what I was offered. Broader knowledge leads to greater understanding and being better able to advise clients across multiple areas. With the heist and intrigue of Six of Crows and the dark fairy tale feel of The Cruel Prince, this young adult fantasy debut will have readers rooting for a pair of reluctant heroes as they take on a world-ending fae prophecy, a malicious royal plot, and, most dangerously of all, their feelings for each other.

I wasn't excited or worried about any of them this entire time because: I didn't know them and I knew they'd do their things and nobody would risk killing them. It does switch between different points of views, but the chapters clearly outline which character POV you are following.

I actually didn't have any problems with the book per se up until the halfway point when I realized what the pattern is and when I realized that this book. Inside, he awakens a handsome, tattooed fae warrior who vows to protect him, and Rags is thrust unwittingly into adventure. Also, the famous heist happened in the first 100 pages or so and I found it to be the most interesting thing about the book, and yet kind of stupid as well. Have a couple maintenance individuals specialize on different pieces of equipment by sending them to training and then have the rest of the department the "Jack of all trade" group. With the heist and intrigue of Six of Crows and the dark fairy tale feel of The Cruel Prince, this young adult fantasy debut will have listeners rooting for a pair of reluctant heroes as they take on a world-ending fae prophecy, a malicious royal plot, and, most dangerously of all, their feelings for each other.

I feel like we just got to understand the world and the conflicts within it and then the book ended. I loved the idea of a heist-style plot and the unexpected LGBT romance, and that a queer couple wrote it was really exciting.

To access your ebook(s) after purchasing, you can download the free Glose app or read instantly on your browser by logging into Glose. My point is, this type of character introduction is very risky and very limited for a standalone because it doesn't give us enough time in the characters' heads before they get to do their thing. Specialising too narrowly causes systematic problems and means departments don’t understand each other and it’s now considered old-fashioned by the best tech organisations. other people who are supposed to be masters of these pokemon fae animal creatures who somehow all together come together to make this weapon that the queen will somehow use to. Rags is an excellent thief, but when his latest catch ends up with him working for a terrifying sorcerer, Rags is sure he's in over his head.

I honestly really enjoyed the heck out of this because it was really hard to put down Master of One.The full phrase is “a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
